Call for women’s refuge to support domestic violence victims in Orange
There is a call for a women’s refuge in Orange to cater for the high rates of serious domestic violence in the district. The city’s Domestic Violence Services has received more than 1,400 referrals from police in the past year and almost one-third of the victims were at ‘serious threat’ of further injury or death.
